The National Life Helpline for pregnancy and pregnancy loss is a service by the charity Life. It’s staffed by experienced, qualified skilled listeners and counsellors operating a Trauma-Informed Approach and regulated by the British Association of Psychotherapists. Life Helpline is a member of the Helplines Partnership Freephone range.

The service is completely non-directive and client-led. You can say whatever you want, the professional team won’t judge you or push you in any way. If you need further support from Life services, like housing, free pregnancy tests or practical or skills support, the Helpline can refer you for that. If asked, staff inform with medically accurate information but do not offer advice. Life doesn’t provide or refer for abortions, or give information on abortion providers.

It’s all free and the Life Helpline operates a “safe service”, so the charity name won’t show up on your call log.
